Outta Your Mind

Get outta your mind!

Literally!

I've been reading the book call " You Can Be Happy No Matter What" and it's incredible! So many times we wait around for life to not be "hard" until we decide that we can be happy, when in reality we ought to find happiness even through the hard times....you know what, it really helps! LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!
Today I found happiness in cleaning my room, reading, getting ready for the day, getting my car a parking pass finally :), talking with friends (even if it was just watching them play dumb Halo), getting a job and dancing!! I miss dancing! I tried teaching my friend how to dance to Latin music yesterday....it was uh...cute. jk. He did a great job!

Finding happiness in the small things is absolutely refreshing! Also, I might be able to go home for Christmas after all, happy, happy day!!

Keep the Sabbath Day Holy

I am so grateful for our Father in Heaven. Life can often be rough and hard to swallow. Everyone faces their fair share of difficulties but we must persevere. I am grateful for my health, my family and my beautiful friends. I have had feelings of despair and uncertainty and when it seems as though I am drowning, the Lord always comes to rescue. I am grateful for the scriptures and the strength that they give. I am grateful for the temple and the covenants that are made with the Lord. I am grateful for our eldest brother, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross so that we might live. I am grateful for opposition, whereby we might know good and happiness. I am grateful for Joseph and Emma Smith and for all that they endured so that this wonderful church might be restored and the gathering of Israel might proceed. It is often easier to recognize the hardships much quicker than the blessings that we are given daily. I challenge you to take time in your day to ponder on the blessings that you have received each day and take note of them. You were chosen for this day and time for a reason. Rise up to the challenges of life and know that you aren't alone.

"If you have enough Faith, you can handle difficulties knowing that in the Eternal perspective, all will be well"

Turkey Month!

Woot Woot it is turkey month, but most importantly it's Thanksgiving month!! So, in spirit of being thankful and all that jazz, I will list just a few things that I am grateful for!

  • I am grateful for my Savior and for the infinite Atonement whereby we can return to live with our Father in Heaven.
  • I am grateful for the gospel and the love and peace that is felt from it.
  • I am grateful for my family that supports me and loves me endlessly....even when we argue ;)
  • I am grateful for my bishop; he is truly inspired from the Lord
  • I am grateful for my friends that help me to be a better person..to name a few:
  1. Jacob-one of the most forgiving and loving people I know, one day I hope to be as awesome as he is...he helps me be strong!
  2. John-Although sometimes we go a few days without talking, I know that he will always be there for me and acts as my wonderful therapist :) He's also hilariously random.
  3. Chris T-Best friends for like 7 years, I love him so much even though he grosses me out sometimes..there's a good quality of guy right there!
  4. Shaila-I've only known her for a short while but I am convinced that she's one of the best roommates that I've ever had, she's also one of the most loving and sincere people I know.
  5. Brady, Beau, Ryan and Chase-They are some remarkable guys and I love them to pieces for the support and love that they share. Oh and they are HILARIOUS.
  6. My new friends Kaylee, Eric, Bryn, Zach and Brent-They all have and continue to help me in different ways.
Overall, I'm just extremely content with my life right now. Although I may not always understand why certain things happen, I know that the Lord knows and that he is directing my path in the way that he sees best fit for me. I am grateful for the Spirit of Confirmation and the peace that I have felt this past year through all the hard times :) I love the church and I love you! :)

SUCCESS

I've been trying to keep myself busy because well, you know, Austin is gone and now I don't know what to do with myself. So anyway, today has been wayyyy great as far as productivity goes.
Here's what I've done thus far:

            1. Applied for Jobs
            2. Went to a job interview
            3. Got my car registered
            4. Ate lunch
            5. Got hit (a love tap) by a car
            6. Rotated the tires on my car

Now I'm going to:

            1. Apply for more jobs
            2. Clean my room
            3. Prepare FHE activity and lesson for my group tonight
            4. Eat Dinner
            5. Have FHE with my cute little ward family
            6. Go on a dessert date with a girl I've never met before
Even with all of this, there hasn't been a second of my day that I haven't thought of/missed my boo.
