Where'd you go?

My days are lonely as I walk shivering under the cloudy sky. I need the touch of your warmth again, where'd you go dear Sun. I'm pretty sure that it's Spring, please come out and play again, I'm sorry that I yelled at you for making my already dark skin a bit darker. I don't appreciate the numbness of my nose and cheeks, hair in my face and almost falling over on my way to class, it's "no muy bueno"<-- (taken from a dear friend). So Internet at my apartment has been really lame lately, actually, by lame I mean it doesn't work at all. Therefore, I'm stuck in the library; here is a letter I wrote to a boy sitting across from me. "Dear Guy rockin' out in front of me, although you think you may look "cool" rockin' out to who knows what, I'm highly distracted while trying to write a reflection paper on Infinity and Beyond. If you could please sit still for a few more hours I'd highly appreciate it, kthanksbye." Well, I successfully wrote my paper and did other homework and I've only been here for two and a half hours! So I've been somewhat stressed trying to put my life together lately and it just seems to be falling apart, nothing is going as planned. It's a good, nay, GREAT thing that I have little Miss Polatis as a roommate. She is what I call my little "de-stresser" Sometimes she/we like to:
  • Chase me into the bathroom making creepy, scary noises while hunched over.
  • make me laugh 8349593737+ times a day
  • talk like we're british
  • talk like creepers
  • make me laugh so hard that I fall off of her bed and roll on the floor laughing for hours
  • "CHOCOOOLATEE!!"
"You're going to make me pee in my bed, and I don't even have plastic sheets"-Brittany

There you have it folks, she's amazing. Single boys: 208-483-9382 give her a call, she'll make your life better.

Psych!

Creepers...I really wouldn't post her number...if you want it though I will more than likely hand it over to you after an extensive interview.
kthanksbye.

There is sunshine in my life

So, I had a pretty dang good day a few days ago..It was just one of THOSE days, where everything seemed to just be going great. I applied to be on the counsel of the Usher-ness at Devo, danced a little hip hop, ran into my friend whom I haven't seen since before his mission and last but definitely NOT least!.....Jacob got his mission call!! I feel like this is super exciting, blog worthy? I think yes! Anyway, he got called to the Brazil Sao Paulo Interlagos mission. It's so awesome to think that he will be learning and eventually be fluent in Portuguese. Anyway, that's about the most exciting thing that I have had happen (and it didn't even happen to me, pretty pathetic right?). Recently though, my days seemed to have dragged on a bit, if it hadn't gotten uber cold I would have stayed at the park to blow bubbles and fly my Little Mermaid kite! Also, I have decided to keep a journal for my marriage class. I've been thinking an awful lot about my future and I think it would be nice to have written a few letters to my husband and children for them them to read later on. I'm not sure what all exactly I would write in it but I know it'll be great!(: I've had a little bit of a hard time getting used to all of the changes but I suppose it's going well thus far. P.S.why is it that when you're not looking to date, guys come out of nowhere? Just a random thought.

Another Lonely Day

Yes indeed, I'm alone again.
And here come emptiness crashing in.
It's either love or hate,
I can't find in between,
'cause I've been with witches and I've been with a queen
It wouldn't have worked out anyway
So now it's just another lonely day.
Further along we just may
But for now it's just another lonely day
Wish there was something now I could say or do
I can resist anything but the temptation from you
But I'd rather walk alone than chase you around
I'd rather fall myself than let you drag me on down
It wouldn't have worked out anyway
And now it's just another lonely day
Further along we just may
But for now it's just another lonely day
Yesterday seems like a life ago,
'Cause the one that I love today, I hardly know
You I held so close in my heart, Oh dear,
Grow further from me with every fallen tear
It wouldn't have worked out anyway
So now it's just another lonely day
Further along we just may
But for now it's just another lonely day
For now it's just another lonely day
For now it's just another lonely day

The great fall

Things I didn't want to do:
         1.Walk in heels uphill.
         2. Be my clumsy self in front of a car full of boys.
Status:
         1.Check
         2.Check

1. My walk is quite a bit longer to church this semester, and it's uphill. I don't mind the walk so much but I did complain a bit. Texas is completely flat...this is going to take some getting used to. Next time, I plan on leaving a tad bit earlier.
2. So if you know me at all you'll know that I'm always tripping and falling. I'm about the most clumsy person that you'll ever meet. However, this wasn't just any fall. This was like the MOST epic fall ever! I don't usually get super embarrassed and I was extremely embarrassed yesterday, so that should tell you something. Okay, on to the story now, Brittany and I were walking home from the Taylor building; which is where we have church. I believe we were walking next to the Mark Austin building and they were doing construction on the main road so I was a little nervous because we were walking in the middle of the street and there was a car full of boys coming, and I didn't know where they wanted to go. So as I'm staring at the boys in the car (they're in my ward) I do a little skip; you know one of those that you do when you try and pretend that you're going faster when you're really not, all of a sudden I'm tripping over a construction cone and getting up close and personal with the pavement. Funny right? Yeah, not so much at the time. Don't get me wrong I was laughing at myself but I was super embarrassed that those guys which I had sat next to during Sacrament had all seen me. They were very nice though, they stopped next to us and asked me if I was okay; twice, and then offered Britt and I a ride. I didn't even turn around, I just waved my hand up and was like I'm okay. As I put my heels back on and my hymn book, scriptures and phone back in my purse I dusted myself off and walked away with Brittany. Then I noticed blood on my purse and I felt my skirt was wet. As I lifted my skirt a little I noticed that my knees were cut up pretty well and then that my right hand was cut up along with the back of my hand, my arm and my elbow. I'm not a pansy so I don't really mind the cuts and bruises although they do hurt when I walk. I was just very embarrassed that I had fallen such a bad fall! I think that my story would be much more interesting and less pathetic if I had fallen off of a dirt bike or something of that sort not tripped over a cone and cut my myself on little rocks on the pavement. Well, it sucks but I'm over it. Welp, off to work out now! Work in progress.. P.S. these are two of my cuts. (top) elbow (bottom) knee...please excuse my deformed knee. kthanksbye.

Helllooooo Rexburg

So on Thursday I went up to Blackfoot from Provo and I stayed with Brittany (my roommate). Holy wow, she lives in the country! It was fun and her house is beautifully hidden by huge Pine trees. If I knew how to paint I would want to paint her house. Anyway, my mouth was hurting an awful lot so I was pretty sad but it was great! Her mom made us a casserole and it was yummy. It was my first casserole EVER, so I was a wee bit scared. Well, then yesterday we drove up here to the fabulous place of Rexburg. We got here around 12:30 pm or so and finished unpacking at around 5. It took forever, actually that's an understatement. Anyway, Britt and I did a little dance in the car when we were close enough to see the Rexburg Temple sitting on top of that wonderful hill. It feels great to be back and we're both really excited to start school again. I do miss my mom though, I spent all of my time with her back home so it's a little weird to not have her near me. sigh. We'll see what Rexburg has in store for us today!

Little Sisters

It's funny how I don't have a problem watching Trauma:Life in the ER and I love to see surgeries but when my little sister flies over her bike and smashes her face on the driveway/road pavement while her foot is still caught in the handle bars I freak out, and want to cry. While I was holding Liliana's hand and stroking her hair telling her to breathe I all of a sudden felt like Hailey (my roommate from last semester who gets queezy with blood) as I felt my eyes stinging and my sight getting blurry while I fought to keep my cool. I can't even imagine how I will be with my own children. Poor Liliana has had a very rough week. She is bruised all over and they think that she might have some bruising on her kidneys. The following day she is then admitted to the hospital because she couldn't stop throwing up and had a high fever. Later they found out that she also has Strept. I feel terrible that I'm so far away from her now. Oh how I love my little girl. Here are a few more pictures of the little ones

What a dream...

sigh.
Oh Frank Sinatra, you have definitely set the bar high. You're such a man and your romantic ways make me feel butterflies in my stomach and yet I have no one to feel butterflies over. You're good, you're very good. If only there were such a man out there...

My mouth hurts...still. Actually, it had stopped hurting and I was just taking the Penicillin but now the right side of my jaw/cheek is swollen and hurts pretty bad so I've had to take Vicodin again. I'm not such a fan of the side effects. I have hot flashes, mood swings and am ALWAYS dizzy...I'm mean c'mon..I'm not going through menopause. Not to mention there is a bump in my mouth; half is completely numb and the other half hurts. I can't fully close my mouth because I feel my entire jaw pulling super tight...kind of odd. I suppose I can't complain much because it could be worse. I'm just tired of feeling either so out of it or in pain. On a more happy note, I leave for Provo this Saturday! I'm super stoked for that and for Rexburg! I changed my schedule around a little..I had signed up for a guitar class but I just realized that my parents are going to have to take my guitar to me in August so I had to drop that class. I will have 17 credits this semester and will be working, yay for going crazy! My classes will be as follows:
1.Book of Mormon
2. English
3.Humanities:The Heroic Journey
4.Marriage
5.Real World Math
6.General Psychology
I am very pleased with the classes that I will be taking. I've also decided to speak to my advisor to see when I could apply for fast grad. I've decided to graduate early so then I can serve a mission, go to grad school and then go on to getting my doctorates. I figure the younger I am the more likely it will be for me to get my doctorates. We'll see how things play out. Also, I've fallen in love with a new song! O'child-Nevertheless..must give credit to Andy for telling me about it. Turns out he has such good taste in music! (: Anyway, listen to it and enjoy!

Dear Future Husband,
General Conference just passed and I thought a lot about you. It's funny how I always thought about the type of man that you would be; the qualities I wanted for you to have. With being caught up in how perfect I wanted you to be I forgot to think of the qualities that you would want me to have. I know you probably won't come for a while, although I wouldn't mind knowing who you are. Have I met you? I will make a few promises though. I promise to take care of you, love you and help you return to our Father in Heaven as well. I promise to trust you with my life and never hold back. I promise to care for our household and nurture our even more future children. I promise to support you in all church callings and life decisions. I promise that I will constantly try to further improve myself so that I might be the best wife/mother. Although I often wonder about you or who you might be, I'm not worried and I am not impatient. I know that I've already met you in the pre-existence and I'm excited to some day meet you again. I will remain worthy in all of my doings and hope that you will too so that one day we will make beautiful covenants with the Lord and be sealed for time and all eternity. Until meet again.

With Love,
Your Wife
